Boeing Unveils Customisation Options for 777X Despite Certification Delays
Boeing has revealed new customisation options for airlines like Spirit Airlines, United Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Airlines on its upcoming 777X aircraft. Despite certification delays, interest in the 777X remains high, with passengers and airlines eagerly awaiting its arrival.
The 777X offers airlines flexibility with its door and galley configurations. Passengers can expect spacious crew accommodations and a wider cabin, allowing for a 10-abreast layout in economy. The aircraft's interior boasts large dimmable windows and a vast array of mood lighting choices, as seen in a recent video release by fan page @b777Xlovers.
Boeing president and CEO Kelly Ortberg, who took office on August 8, 2024, acknowledged the delay in certification. He admitted to falling behind and needing a type inspection authorisation (TIA) from the FAA. Ortberg is working to improve Boeing's operations and corporate culture. Despite the setback, demand for the 777X remains strong, with positive passenger feedback on YouTube channel @777Xlovers.
Boeing's 777X offers airlines customisation options and passengers a comfortable, spacious interior. However, deliveries have been delayed until 2026 due to certification issues. Boeing is working to resolve these issues and meet the high demand for the 777X from airlines like Spirit Airlines, United Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Airlines.
