The application period for the highly esteemed 2024 SmartWay Excellence Award has come to an end. This prestigious award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional leadership in freight supply chain efficiency, is no longer accepting submissions.

The United States Department of Energy (DOE), the contract partner of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) managing the SmartWay Awards 2024, has announced that the deadline for applications has been met. Interested parties who had planned to apply are advised to note that no new applications will be accepted for the 2024 award.

For those who started the application process, it is worth noting that progress can be saved by clicking the "Save Draft" button. In case of any issues with accessing a saved draft, the EPA’s contractor can be contacted at [email protected] for assistance.

The application process was designed to be user-friendly, allowing applicants to complete the form within 15 days using the same computer and browser. However, with the application deadline now passed, the 2024 SmartWay Excellence Award is now closed for applications.

While the 2024 award is no longer open, the SmartWay programme continues to encourage and support organisations in their efforts to improve freight efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The programme, run by the EPA, aims to increase energy efficiency while also reducing emissions and air pollution.

Stay tuned for updates on the 2025 SmartWay Excellence Award and continue to strive for sustainability in your freight operations.
