AI programming company CodeRabbit secures $60M in Series B funding to revolutionize AI code reviews in the new Vibe Coding era.

CodeRabbit, an innovative AI-driven code review platform, has secured $60 million in Series B funding, led by Scale Venture Partners. This investment round brings CodeRabbit's total funding to $88 million.

Founded by Harjot Gill, the co-founder and CEO of CodeRabbit, the platform is designed to adapt to the style and standards of each engineering team, delivering precise and actionable feedback without overwhelming developers with irrelevant noise.

CodeRabbit's AI review system is engineered to spot issues that traditional linting tools miss, such as subtle bugs, security flaws, and architectural improvements. The platform's newest release embeds AI reviews into the command line interface and integrates with various IDEs and Git platforms, allowing developers to generate, test, and merge code in a continuous loop without breaking flow state.

New features include CLI Access, pre-merge checks, and an MCP Client for fetching deeper project context. These updates aim to streamline the code review process further, making it more efficient and effective.

CodeRabbit has emerged as a solution to the code review bottleneck caused by AI tools. The platform is setting a new standard for the agentic software lifecycle by embedding AI-powered review systems that scale alongside AI code generation.

The funding underscores the need for governance layers in AI-assisted development. As AI-generated code becomes more prevalent, ensuring the output is safe, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards is crucial. CodeRabbit focuses on quality and governance, making it a go-to solution for enterprises like John Deere, Life360, Mercury, and Groupon.

Groupon, one of CodeRabbit's early adopters, reduced their average code review-to-production time from 86 hours to just 39 minutes, greatly speeding up their release cycles. Shyamal Anadkat, Head of Applied Evals at OpenAI, noted that CodeRabbit was one of the first companies to adopt GPT-5.

In the future, the role of CodeRabbit is existential, as it is building hybrid systems where AI-generated velocity is matched by AI-enforced trust. The future of vibe coding won't be about choosing between human oversight and AI autonomy, but building hybrid systems where both are integrated.

With over 8,000+ paying customers, CodeRabbit has become the #1 AI app on the GitHub Marketplace. The company continues to innovate and push the boundaries of AI-driven code review, setting a new standard for the software industry.
